At 71, I'm still working, still curious, and still saying "yes" to new challenges.
Over the years, I've watched many friends retire. Some stepped confidently into a rewarding new chapter. Others found themselves drifting, surprised by how difficult it was to replace the structure, purpose, identity, and social connection that work had quietly provided.
Most people spend years preparing financially for retirement. Far fewer spend time preparing for retirement itself.
That's where my interest lies.
I'm a qualified Life Coach and NLP Practitioner, but more importantly, I'm fascinated by what happens when a major life transition creates both freedom and uncertainty. Retirement offers extraordinary opportunities, but it can also leave people wondering, "What now?"
I don't provide financial advice. Instead, I help people think about how they want to spend their time, where they find meaning, what they want to pursue, and how to create a rhythm that suits the life they've worked so hard to build.
I believe some of the best insights come from conversations with others facing similar questions. That's why I favour workshops and group sessions. When people share experiences, challenges and ideas, something valuable happens. One person's question sparks another person's solution. A room full of retirees becomes a room full of possibilities.
My style is practical, thoughtful and often humorous. Life is too interesting to take too seriously. Retirement should be approached with curiosity rather than fear.
I can't promise to have all the answers.
What I can promise is a supportive space to think clearly, challenge assumptions, explore possibilities, and begin designing a next chapter that feels intentional rather than accidental.
If you're approaching retirement, or already there and wondering what comes next, I'd be delighted to explore that conversation with you.
I won't tell you how to retire. I'll help you think about what makes your retirement worth waking up for.
